Interesting facts about your stay at Schluga
Where can we park our car?
We provide one carport parking space per apartments. If you are travelling with several cars, you can park them next to the apartment building (depending on availability) or in the large beach car park.
Where can I charge my electric car?
There is a charging station directly in the carport of House II, which can charge 10.5kw. You can charge there by prior arrangement at reception. You pay € 0.50 per KW charged in cash at reception. Please bring your own charging cable!
Are towels/bed linen exchanged?
If you book by the week, the towels will be changed after 3 or 4 days. We ask you to put the used towels on the floor in front of the apartment by 10:00 am. If you are staying with us for a fortnight, the bed linen can be left outside the door after 7 days.
We ask you to bring your own beach towels.
Where can we wash/dry laundry?
The washing machines and tumble dryers are located in the basement of each apartment house. We will be happy to unlock the door to the laundry room for you if you notify reception in advance. The use costs € 5,- per wash/dry cycle. You can bring your own detergent or buy it at the reception for € 1,- per wash.
Which coffee machine is in the apartment and where can I get the capsules?
Each of our apartments has a filter coffee machine, a kettle and a Nespresso coffee machine. A starter set of coffee capsules is provided in the apartment. You can either bring your own capsules or buy them at reception for € 0.80 per capsule.
We are coming with a baby, what equipment is available?
Please let us know at the time of booking if you require a travel cot and a high chair for your child and we will be happy to provide these free of charge. A kettle is available in all apartments.
How does it work with the sauna?
If you book in advance by 14:00, we will be happy to switch on our saunas for you from 16:00. The use of our wellness area is possible from 16:00 - 20:45. Towels are provided there.
Where can we dispose of our rubbish?
There are rubbish containers in the rubbish room in the carport of House I and House II. Please separate your rubbish!
Is there a possibility to have breakfast?
Please order your pastries directly from the bakery Moritz for the duration of your stay at lrsa.baeckerei-moritz.at (or scan the QR code available in the apartment). Payment is made directly via this page. Please be sure to state the apartment number.
You will find a blue Schluga bag on your kitchen table. Please hang it on the left side mirror of your car in the carport. The bakery will put your order in this bag.
All other important ingredients for your breakfast are available in the farm shop in the Lake Resort (100 metres on the left). Payment is only possible by credit card.

Where can we go for a good meal nearby?

If we have to check out at 10am but would still like to spend the day at the beach, what options do we have?
You are welcome to spend a lovely day at the beach. Entry is also free on the day of departure. We only ask you to vacate the carport and park your car in the beach car park next to reception.
Are the sunbeds on the beach included in the price?
Two sunbeds are included per apartment, these sunbeds can be collected on the beach with a voucher when the sunbeds are allocated. Additional sunbeds and parasols can be hired on the beach for a fee.
What facilities does the beach have? Are there pedal boats?
Use of the Schluga beach is included in the price for our apartment guests. The beach facilities include our beach bar (June-September), a large sunbathing area, two toilet facilities, changing rooms, a play area with football goals, two table tennis tables, a beach volleyball court, a children's playground by the lake, an iceberg and a jumping trampoline in the water. You can also hire pedalos and SUPs, sunbeds and parasols (for a fee). You can find an overview of the beach facilities here.
Are pets allowed in the apartment and on the beach?
Yes, we have 16 apartments where pets (dog, cat) are allowed (maximum 2 per apartment). Pets are not allowed in apartment house III.
On the beach you may use the left area with your furry friend. There is an agility park and a dog beach with access to the lake. Dogs are also allowed on the beach bar (must be kept on a lead).
Where can we hire and store bikes?
Bicycles (mountain bikes, e-bikes, children's bikes) can be hired either from Bike Paradies (6km just before Hermagor) or from Alpe Adria Sports (300m from EuroParcs). You are welcome to store the bikes in our lockable bike room. E-bikes can be charged in 2 of the 3 bike rooms.
How big is Lake Pressegger See and how warm does it get in summer?
Lake Pressegger See is 55 hectares in size, making it the ninth largest lake in Carinthia. It is only around 4-6 metres deep and is also known as the ‘bathtub of the Gailtal’. It reaches a temperature of up to 28 °C in summer, but thanks to the large reed beds, it has drinking water quality.
If friends want to visit us, how does that work?
Your friends are welcome to stay in your apartment free of charge during the day, and parking is free of charge at the beach car park. However, external guests must pay for entry to the beach on a daily basis.
What exactly can you do with the GuestCard Basic?
After the data from the registration form has been transferred, every guest will be issued with a GuestCard Basic. This card entitles you to small discounts in the region, free travel on the Carinthian S-Bahn line and the ski bus is also free for pedestrians! Where can we hire and store our ski equipment?
There is a ski depot in the basement of each apartment house where you can store your skis. The ski boot dryers ensure that nothing stands in the way of skiing fun the next day!
Alternatively, you can leave your skis directly at the valley station. Prices and further information can be found online at Ski depot | Nassfeld ski area
If you don't bring your own skis, you can pre-book your equipment (skis, snowboard, boots, helmet, touring skis, cross-country skis, snowshoes and toboggans) at https://rent.soelle.at ! There are also special family rates and an early booking discount!

Please buy your ski passes online or directly at the ski resort!
How far away is the ski resort and how do we get there?
The valley station of the Nassfeld ski area (with 110 kilometres of pistes) is 12 kilometres from Apartments Schluga. The free ski bus runs regularly and the bus stop (EuroParcs-new) is only about 50 metres away. If you don't want to take the ski bus, there are plenty of parking spaces available at the valley station.
